Oxygen Not Included Seeds

Oxygen Not Included: Asteroid Spawn Seeds Posted on August 3, 2019 Games: Oxygen Not Included Here is a guide to help you find the perfect asteroid for your dupes. Oxygen Not Included Cheat Codes: - Submitted by: David K. You can force the game to make all the commands available. This can easily be done by just creating a simple (empty) text-file inside the ”OxygenNotIncludedData“-folder which is located at the root of the game-folder.

Practice

The purpose of this page is to help you practice playing the game. I've played around for a while, and I found a good Seed to start on, with plenty of nearby resources.

If you're struggling and want to practice, you can follow along here with my base and my seed. Keep in mind, there are MANY ways to do things, and my base is in no way 'perfect', but it is very functional. It'll provide you with a good launch pad, from which to continue from.

I'm keeping this guide somewhat general, since your base will move at a slightly different pace from mine. For example, you'll choose different Duplicants than I will, who will work slower or faster than mine will. Because of this, I'll be explaining what I did, and in what order, without giving you an exact timetable to meet. Work at your own pace, and feel free to experiment a bit!

Choosing the Seed

First off, let's get you set up. On the Main Menu, select 'New Game'.

You'll be allowed to choose an Asteroid. We'll be on Terra.

At the bottom of this screen, you'll see a button labeled 'Game Settings'. Press it, and the pop-up below will appear:

From here, you'll be able to type in a Seed of your choice. The Seed we'll be using is:

1154498094

From there, start the game.

First Things First

You'll now be allowed to choose your first three Duplicants. There are many different choices, and they all have different strengths and weaknesses to choose from.

There are several important things to note here. First off, the Traits. Traits can be helpful, but usually they're not. You've got to decide what things you can tolerate, and what you can't.

Things like Mouth Breather and Stress Eater are examples of 'bad' Traits. These Duplicants will consume extra resources, in this case Oxygen and food. Be careful what you pick! In the end, you can tolerate any of them, but it's good to choose Duplicants that will be easier to take care of.

Next, you'll be able to seed their 'Stress Reaction'. This can be harmless things, such as 'Ugly Crier', but things like 'Destructive' or 'Vomiter' will be harder to deal with.

Destructive Duplicants will break things in your Colony, and you'll need to use extra resources (and spare the time) to fix them. I recommend avoiding these Duplicants.

Vomiters will puke all over the place, making a mess whenever they get too stressed. Keeping your base clean can be hard enough, but your Duplicants won't appreciate seeing that, stepping in it, or having to clean it up. It's probably best to avoid these Duplicants as well.

Finally, we have their 'Interests'. These are pretty important, but there are two ways to play this.

Some Duplicants will be really strong in a single area. For example, you may find someone with +7 Agriculture. This Duplicant will start the game already being very skilled at farming. People with high traits can be very useful, since they're so good. This means they'll also get the job done faster!

Other Duplicants will be weak, but will have several Interests. These people are also very helpful, since they can be used in multiple areas.

An argument can be made for using either side, but I think an even mix of the two is best. For example, you may want to get someone that's really strong in something like Cooking, and get other people who are good at Building and Researching. It's up to you, so play around and find out what you like!

Planning Your Base

Getting into the game, you'll be able to look around at the nearby resources.

Around you, you'll see plenty of Water, Oxylite, Dirt, Copper, and even some Shine Bugs. These will all be important resources, so it's nice to start the game surrounded by them.

Building Your Base

Before you can do anything, you'll need to dig/mine some resources. If you want to build something, you'll need something to build it out of.

Press the [G] button and highlight areas you want to dig out. I kept the 4-block-tall height, and used it as a standard room height for most of my base. It's a good idea to do this, so that rooms will line up correctly if you ever want to connect them.

The screenshot above was taken on Cycle 29. I wanted to provide an 'after' picture, to show you what I did.

After digging out a bit of the starting area, I made the room above the Printing Pod and built three Cots. Later on, I added more as I accepted new Duplicants. See the screenshot below.

Next, I placed the machines you see next to the Printing Pod, starting with the Microbe Masher, so I could make food. I immediately set a Duplicant to work on that, so we would have a food supply going.

The Manual Generator and the Research Station were next, along with the Outhouse (very important) and the Batteries, to store some extra power. Once these were built, your Duplicants will be able to generate power by running on the hamster wheel-like Manual Generator, providing power to the Microbe Masher and the Research Station.

You should now select a topic to research. This depends entirely on you, but in this scenario, I chose to start working toward the Electrolyzer, so I could use it in Oxygen production in the near future. Check out the Temperature Management page of this guide for more detailed information on that.

Next, I built several Storage Bins here, so that I could keep my base tidy.

Expanding Your Base

Over the next few Cycles, I worked my way downward, to access the Water. I used the middle area of my base to create a room for my Electrolyzer, for Oxygen production, as mentioned above. This machine needs Water to work, so I placed a Liquid Pump in the water below, making a nice little pool for the Water that was already there.

This part is very important: as you expand, your Oxylite will begin to run out. This will cut off your flow of fresh Oxygen, at least until you've finished building your Electrolyzer room.

So, you'll need to place Oxygen Diffusers around your base. I placed several in the top area, where my Cots were. This way, the light Oxygen gases would float to the top of the base, collecting there. This way, my Duplicants won't have to worry about not being able to breathe as they try to sleep.

Mining Areas and Generators

Over those next few Cycles, I expanded my base in several ways. I built a room to the left, for mining purposes. I kept it sealed with a Manual Airlock, so that my precious Oxygen wouldn't try to fill the huge area. I wouldn't be using it enough to need much Oxygen there, so I focused on keeping it in the base.

Eventually I also put in some Coal Generators and some Jumbo Batteries there, to provide some extra power. I kept this separate from my main base area, since these machines will produce some extra heat that I didn't need floating around. See the screenshot below:

Liquid Storage

Down at the bottom of the base, I found another pocket of Water. I placed a Liquid Bottler here, so my Duplicants could use this Water for their various needs (mostly food).

More cars, more chases, more drive! The crew download.

On the opposite end of the area, I built a large room to store Polluted Water, so that I could later put a system in place to purify it, using a Water Sieve. In order for your Duplicants to dump the Polluted Water there, and not regular Water, you'll need to build a Bottle Emptier, that is specified to only allow Polluted Water.

Likewise, you should always make sure to mark Bottle Emptiers as only allowing the liquid you want to have stored.

Future Plans

At this point, you've got a very good start. You have power, Water, Oxygen, cooling, and food. It is now time to think about the future.

My future plans for this base would be the following:

- Continue to expand and explore the nearby areas and Biomes. Send Duplicants out on these missions, and see what you can find! Just be sure to section off the area with a Manual Airlock, so you don't accidentally lose Oxygen into the new area. Just give your Duplicants Atmo Suits or build an Oxygen Diffuser in the new area so that they won't suffocate.

- Build a farm, and so I can plant the various Seeds I've picked up along the way. You'll find a lot of them buried as you mine and dig, so be sure to store them for future use. I was planning on putting my farm down near the bottom of the base, where I could use my Water storage to maintain it. Reference the Plant Guide for more information.

Players can go for broke in five, fast and furious modes, including: Freeskate, Skate Fest, Trick Contest, Skillz School and a good game of skateboard H-O-R-S-E. Each character brings to the event his or her own tricks, personality and dialogue? Recorded by the actual voice talent from the TV show. The simpsons skateboarding cheats games.

- Build a Critter ranch. By the point shown in the screenshots, I had Hatches walking all over the place. Wrangle them up and place them into a farm of their own, so you can start to reap the benefits they provide. Reference the Critter Guide for more information.

- Build a Refrigerator. This is an important one. You need a way to store your food, so it doesn't go bad. The best way to do this is with refrigeration. You could always find a Frozen Biome to store it in, but for now (since this Seed doesn't have one nearby), you'll need to build a fridge yourself.

- Start decorating. I'd just finished researching various decorations, so that I could have a Duplicant paint some Masterpieces to hang around the base, improving the Decor. This will make your Duplicants happier, improving their mood and decreasing their stress. They'll be happier to work in a 'beautiful' environment!

- As stated above, I also plan to put a Water purification system into place, using a Water Sieve. You'll need to research this before you can build it, but once you do, it'll definitely come in very handy!

- Have fun! Enjoy yourself as you explore, research, and build. This game is an adventure, and it's up to you to explore this strange and fantastic Asteroid. So get out there and build something awesome!
