Trivia[edit]

  • Extended orchestral versions of 'Adventure' and 'Overture' from the Dragon Quest III Symphonic Suite performed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra were used in the Hero's reveal trailer, but are not included in the actual game. This is likely due to licensing complications with series composer Koichi Sugiyama, who retains the rights to the Dragon Quest soundtracks instead of Square Enix themselves.
  • Counting victory fanfare, Dragon Quest is the first character-based universe represented in Super Smash Bros. to not include any Smash-exclusive remixes whatsoever.
  • The music from the Dragon Quest series is owned by an organization other than the owner of the IP. This trait is shared with the music from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the Culdcept series, Soma Bringer, and Style Savvy: Styling Star.
